It seems rare to me that anything I watch these days can cause my jaw to drop in such amazed admiration, so whenever one of those rare moments happens I feel somewhat dazed and euphoric. It is just fucking brilliant, the performances are outstanding but the writing is intellectually on another level. My brain has been whirring all night with thoughts and questions invoked by the play. The only bummer was the lack of a standing ovation which if I had been further near the front would have felt obligated to start, but heck I was standing and clapping hard because this was the best live performance I have ever seen, by a country mile.
